Flower Thoughts

For the bridesmaids- minus the bling
Alright, I am thinking that the bridesmaids will carry ivory flowers. Gardenias are my new found flower (thanks to my sister). Here is one example that is gorgeous. Now, I wouldn't want the "bling" on the stems. :)

I don't really want green in my bouquets, so I am not sure what I would do. Maybe an ivory wrap and pearls?

Might look good on the tables?
Then for either the tables or myself I am thinking romantic style flowers.  They give just enough color. I will have deep purple table linens, so I feel this would compliment them without being to stark white. Below are a few more pictures.

Again- no bling- but maybe for me? It is pretty and almost vintage

I was thinking I could wear a bright pink, but it wouldn't flow and it might be tacky with everything else.
Another option for the bridesmaids. Just roses- love the ivory hues

Who would have thought that flowers require so much thought? It is fun to see the variety of colors and various ways to put them together.

Bridesmaids

So, we went dress shopping the day after Jeff left. It was a great distraction. :) I am so lucky to have great friends (My sister, Lauren, Christi, and Danielle).

Below are pictures of the dresses we tried on. . most of them were "no"s. They didn't have my colors in stock, but we did find a great dress in my colors (dark purple -eggplant- and champagne). The dress we settled on is gorgeous! We aren't unveiling it until the wedding though! :)

Enjoy the silly pictures below!

Recipe Fun

My future-mother-in-law, Maria, gave me a great present for Christmas: a family recipe and all of the ingredients to make it. I have been waiting to make it until it was nearing the time for Jeff to leave. It was a huge hit with Jeff, his roommates, and my coworkers at school.

Thank you Maria! :)
